Here then, is part 6. - The Space Ride

Lemy & Rascal's encounter with Supertrain was brief and uninformative. (that means they didn't get to really find out anything about him). Supertrain didn't say anything to them as he was too far up in the sky, and the TrainStar left Martoc soon after making sure that Mr Weasel and the muck monsters were gone for good.

The blue fox Charmer, was teleported back to the surface of the planet and rejoined Lemy & Rascal.

"That was quite an experience," said Rascal "I wonder why Supertrain didn't stop to say "hello?"

"He would have," replied Charmer "but he was called away on an urgent mission right after the muck monsters ran off. He'll be back someday though."

"So...now that all the excitement is over, what'll we do?" asked Lemy

"How about some lunch?" wondered Rascal. "My tummy's growling!"

"Yeah!" brightened Lemy, and then he was depressed. "But all we have is powdered egg, and that's not very much fun...."

"You like eggs??" asked Charmer

"We do!!" the stripey pair replied.

"Well, that's easily solved. We have a good stock of fresh eggs everyday, from our blue hens. Afterall, foxes eat eggs too you know!"

"Why is every animal on your planet blue?!" asked Lemy. "That's kind of strange, right?"

"Not really," said Charmer "we were originally from a colony of blue planets where everything was blue and we came to Martoc to escape the red plague."

"Huh...what's the red plague??" asked Rascal curiously.

"Well that's another story..." said Charmer quietly, and then brightening up, she said "So, let's eat!"

They went off to the foxes' den where Lemy & Rascal met the other foxes - there were more than twenty of them. Also, all the other animals who were captured by Mr Weasel were freed, and among these animals were 2 other raccoons and lemurs. The Racoons introduced themselves as "Ra-ee" and "Kareful", while the Lemurs were "Lemoo" and "Fafle". Although Lemy & Rascal didn't know it then, these others would one day join them as crew members on board the TrainStar. Lemy & Rascal were happy to see these animals from planet Earth, and were disappointed when they said that they were eager to return home to Earth. Lemy understood why they wanted to return home, and Rascal reluctantly agreed that it was for the best. Everybody soon cheered up when they saw the huge plate of boiled eggs that was placed at the table.

"Hurray!" said Lemy & Rascal together, as they gobbled up the feast. Everybody there was amazed that two small animals could eat so much, and they were equally amused to see the two with rather large stomachs at the end of the eating.

"This is great food, and I wish we could have it everyday!" said Lemy, licking his lips.

"You greedy Lemur!" answered Rascal. "You ate more than me!"

"Well," said Charmer. "Now that you have stuffed yourselves, perhaps you'd like to tell us your plans?"

"Plans?? Oh... you mean what are we going to do now?" smiled Rascal. "Well, we actually came here to look for some special crystals that are rare gems back home on Earth. We were hoping to do some studies to see if we could mine the gems and bring them to Earth to sell.

"Yeah!" said Lemy "We want to make a zillion dollars!"

"It's not the money we want, Lemy!!" scolded Rascal. "We actually wanted to make a huge ship that would be able to hold a proper crew, so that we can explore the universe."

"But having seen Supertrain's ship, maybe you should think of something else?" asked Charmer.

"Well, maybe...but we'd still like to have a look at the mines if we could."

Charmer and the other foxes agreed that Lemy & Rascal could stay for as long as they wished, and to look for the mines and crystals. The stripey pair then set about making plans to develop a huge complex and at the same time, build a new underground home for the foxes.
