This is part 2 of a 4-part story that sees Lemy & Rascal heading for SuperTrain's ship - The TrainStar, where they'll eventually meet up with Lemu, Raiee, SuperTrain, Alexander Fox and a special mystery guest.

As everyone slowly stepped out of the two spacecraft, they saw themselves changing colours - just like the planet they were on.

"So that's why this is called the "Rainbow Planet" said Lemy. "Very Cool!"

Everyone one of the other animals thought so too...especially the red foxes who were now a bright yellow instead. Very quickly, they explored all the nooks and crannies of the entire planet and soon discovered that they were the only animals living on the planet although there were lots of plants, trees and fish in the river.

"Looks like we'll have to go fishing for our meals," said Ranger.
Everyone agreed that although the colours of the planet were strange to them, they were happy to stay there for awhile. Soon though, they realised that Rascal was not with them.

"RASCAL!!" called out Lemy to the space craft. "Where are you?"

Peering out of the hatch was Rascal, wearing a strange looking gas mask.

"Hmmmm.... just as I thought!" said Rascal aloud. "When you wear this mask, with the proper amount of oxygen, you see this planet exactly as you should."

Lemy borrowed the gas mask from Rascal and put it on - and the planet looked exactly like Earth.

"How strange..." said Lemy. "The oxygen level in this planet can really control what you see!"

But the other animals weren't worried at all about how they saw the world - in normal colours or otherwise. They were just happy to be running about in a carefree way. The foxes went fishing and the other lemurs and racoons dug up roots and berries to eat.

Soon, some of the animals began talking about staying on the planet permanently. The more they talked, the better they liked the idea. The planet was safe and there would be no dangerous creatures to hunt them. So, the thought of making this planet a permanent home appealed to many in the group.

Well...not all the animals of course.

Lemy, Rascal, Ranger and some of the other animals still wanted to make the journey back to the TrainStar.

And, the stripy pair in particular, were anxious to see Lemu and Raiee again.

"I wonder if they'll remember who we are?" joked Lemy.
"If we continue on our flight path, we'll be able to reach the TrainStar in a few days" said Rascal, as they prepared to settle down for the night.

"Well...." said Lemy. "We certainly hope your calculations are all correct!"

While some of them slept in the spacecraft as usual, some of the other animals (who were happy with the planet) had already found little homes and places to live in.

 

So, it wasn't much of a surprise two days later when some of the animals told Lemy and Rascal that they wanted to stay on in the Rainbow Planet and not travel further.

As Lemy, Rascal, Ranger and the others took off, they waved goodbye to the others who had chosen to stay on the Rainbow planet. They also left one of the two spacecraft back on the planet in case the new inhabitants changed their minds.
