"Good
idea," said Lemy, thinking with his stomach again. "We could use some
fresh eggs!"
"That's what got us into trouble in the first place, remember?" said Rascal looking at the Dodo chick on Lemy's head. "Looks like we don't really have a choice there..." said Lemy. "Look at the fuel gauge....we're running very low on fuel." |
| With that, they
decided to land at the largest planet that was right in their flight
path.
"What a funny name...." exclaimed
Lemy.
"According to the charts, the planet is called...the Rainbow Planet...and it was named by SuperTrain himself!" answered Lemy. "That's a real strange name for a planet alright..." replied Ranger, as the two space craft entered the atmosphere of the planet. |
|
|
| As the two
spacecraft cleared the skies and headed towards the planet's surface, everybody
gasped in surprise - this was an extremely beautiful planet that was brightly
coloured - reds, greens, blues, yellows - everything was just so colourful.
"It's remarkable!" exclaimed Lemy. "It's just like earth...only it's got different colours!" It was true - the planet was almost exactly like Lemy and Rascal's home planet....but for some strange reason, the colours around did not match those of earth. For example - the ground was light green and trees were blue, while the sky itself was a bright orange and grass was red. There were also pink hills and the streams of water around were in purple! |

"This is crazy!!" said the
lemur as the two craft landed. "It's almost as if our eyes are playing
tricks on us..."
"Well actually...they are..." responded Rascal mysteriously. "According to my readings on this colour-o-meter, what we're looking at is actually caused by the fact that this planet has more oxygen than most, and that affects our sense of sight." |
|
|
|
| "Does that mean we're only
seeing all these colours because we're breathing in more oxygen?" asked
Ranger.
"I have another question...." said one of the other raccoons. "Is it dangerous to breathe in more oxygen?" "My question is...." said Lemy. "Where did you get that colour-o-meter?? It wasn't there a few seconds ago..." |
|
|
"So why are we seeing ourselves in the right colours and not in some mixed up colours?" asked Ranger. "That's because we haven't gone outside yet. Once we do, we'll all look a little different but there won't be anything wrong with us really." answered Rascal. "So what're we waiting for?" responded Lemy. "Let's go outside!!" |
